What is Qigong?
QIGONG (pronounced ‘Chi Gong’) is an ancient body-mind exercise and a very powerful system of healing which has been practiced in China for centuries. It is estimated that over 10,000 different forms are currently in use. The primary purpose of Qigong is to enhance, harmonize and nurture the life energy (qi) that flows through our body. Qigong uses breath, posture, movement, intention, sound and touch to cleanse, gather, and circulate the healing energy (Qi) within us.
Qigong induces a state of bodily and mind relaxation from the slow, loose and supple movements. Breath is a big part of this exercise: it increases the state of relaxation and helps in clearing toxins while bringing oxygen to the blood and the whole body. The oxygen improves muscle tone, memory, and assists in healing the organs and glands. Every cell is touched and benefits! With continued practice, one will notice many things, for example: hair and nails grow faster and energy level is improved!
It is designed to be very easy and available to all! The simple movements can be done standing or seated.
We will practice many different sets! Come and join us and learn the simplest and most powerful exercise on this planet!
